A hit-and-run Labor Day accident in West Palm Beach turned tragic Monday night, September 7, when a pedestrian was killed due to the collision, according to the WPTV website. The site reports that a pedestrian was with his two brothers when a northbound vehicle crashed into him as he was crossing Broadway. According to witnesses, the car did not stop after the collision, but drove away toward Riviera Beach. Since the fatal car-pedestrian accident, police have identified and arrested the hit-and-run driver, Renee Angela Martin, who was charged with “failure to stop at a fatal accident” and vehicular homicide. According to WPTV, Martin was described in the arrest report as having a “strong odor of alcohol” at the time of arrest.
