Jim Leyritz, World Series star for the New York Yankees, was arrested last week when his ex-wife accused him of physical abuse, but he was already awaiting a trial for his connection with a fatal drunk driving accident, according to the CNY Central website. Although he was free on bail in relation to the DUI manslaughter charge, now Leyritz may have to await his upcoming fatal accident trial in jail, and the decision is in the hands of a Ft. Lauderdale judge. The DUI manslaughter trial is scheduled for September 14, 2009, in connection to a car accident that police say occurred because he was driving drunk in December 2007.
