A weekend motorcycle accident turned fatal for a man from Fort Lauderdale, according to Jasmine Kripalani of the CBS News website. Kripalani reports that two men from Ft. Lauderdale were traveling west on separate motorcycles near Orlando on Saturday when the lead motorcyclist in the group, 53-year-old Roger Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, lost control of his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle around 8:00 p.m. According to the article, Williams’ bike flipped and caused him to slide nearly 40 feet on the pavement. Fellow Ft. Lauderdale resident James Dessicino, 61, was reportedly riding behind Williams and ran over him despite attempts to avoid the collision. Williams was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
