An 11-year-old boy required transportation to the hospital after an unusual vehicle-pedestrian collision in Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach Daily News. The boy was crossing the Southern Blvd. bridge when he was struck by the vehicle. He had reportedly been fishing with his father on the north side of the draw span and was crossing the bridge to the south side when the auto accident occurred. Although he was taken to the pediatric emergency room at West Palm Beach‘s St. Mary’s Medical Center, police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
