Donte Stallworth, receiver for the Cleveland Browns, was involved in a Miami pedestrian accident that killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes and left the football star “grief stricken,” according to the Associated Press. According to police, Stallworth was driving toward the beach on Saturday when his Bentley struck Reyes, who was on foot, on a causeway that links Miami to Miami Beach. The AP reports that while Reyes was near a crosswalk, it has not been determined whether he was crossing legally before the fatal accident. At the time of the report, no charges had been filed, and Stallworth was cooperating with police and stated that his “thoughts and prayers are with” pedestrian Mario Reyes’ family.
